TiM Friends is a befriending service aimed at adults who find themselves requiring some extra friendship and support. This is provided through weekly home visits, regular telephone calls and special events. We match volunteers with those who are referred to us and all volunteers are carefully vetted, selected and trained.
TiM Friends was established in 2014. With an average of 50 clients and volunteers we support clients and their families with weekly visits, events, entertainment, and outings.
At the core of TiM Friends is the idea of developing lasting friendship and support. This is delivered by our team of dedicated volunteers with regular weekly home visits, over coffee mornings and craft events, outings to local venues, visits to local schools, an annual dinner, and many other regular social events.

A core part of delivering our service is our team of dedicated volunteers who gain so much themselves from the relationships they build with their clients. All volunteers are given training and have the appropriate screening.
Our volunteers give a minimum of 1-2 hours per week for home visits with a client or to visit a local venue with a client. They also accompany clients to local events and to our annual Silver Sunday lunch.
Or do you have a relative or friend who lives locally and is in need of a weekly friendly visit or phone calls?
